Connecting your till to XPRIO with HubRise
Is your till connected to HubRise? Authorise XPRIO in a few clicks: your orders arrive on the till, stock-outs and statuses follow, and delivery platform orders can show in Live.
HubRise is a service that connects many tills (Popina, Clyo, Toporder, Zelty, Lightspeed and others) to ordering apps. If your till is connected to HubRise, XPRIO connects to it with no key to copy: you authorise it from your HubRise account and everything else is set up in XPRIO. This guide assumes you have read the general overview. Connecting your till (POS) to XPRIO
What to know
- Your till must be connected to HubRise. The list of compatible tills is on hubrise.com. If your till is listed but not connected yet, your till reseller can set it up.
- The HubRise subscription is paid to HubRise, per store and per month, at the rate shown on its website. XPRIO takes no commission on the connection.
- Opened store by store. While the HubRise card shows “Coming soon”, click We’ll let you know: we open the connection for your account and write to you as soon as it’s ready.
- Your catalogue stays the till’s. XPRIO reads the catalogue your till sends to HubRise, but never writes to it: your till references stay untouched.
- Unpaid orders are accepted. The setting for orders paid on site lets you choose between “Already paid” and “To collect on the till”.
Step 1: authorise XPRIO on HubRise
- Go to App Configuration, Point of sale (POS), choose the store, then Connect on the HubRise card.
- Click Authorize XPRIO on HubRise. You are taken to HubRise: sign in with your usual account.
- Choose this store’s location and your till’s catalogue, then confirm.
- You are brought back to XPRIO automatically: the card turns Active and XPRIO reads the catalogue once.
If several catalogues appear, pick the one your till feeds: it carries the references the till expects.
Step 2: items
Follow the card’s Next step box. If your menu is not in XPRIO yet, import the till’s items. Otherwise, use matching: linking is based on the reference of each item in the till. Use that reference as the PLU of your XPRIO product and everything links automatically. Matching items between XPRIO and your till
Sending your XPRIO menu to the till is not available with HubRise: the till stays in charge of its catalogue. For an item that only exists in XPRIO, create it on the till, then link it.
If your till expects a reference for each service type (delivery, takeaway, dine-in), enter it in Settings, field Service type refs. Your till’s HubRise page says whether this is needed; otherwise, leave it empty.
Step 3: test order
Send a test order creates an order flagged as a test. It appears on your till within seconds. If it prints where you expect it, your real orders will follow the same path.
Day to day
- Every order is sent with its lines, options, meal deals, discounts, delivery fees, the customer’s note and the mode (delivery with the address, takeaway with the scheduled time, dine-in with the table). An unlinked item is still sent, with its XPRIO name and price.
- The customer record is created or updated in HubRise, with their consent for email offers.
- Statuses follow. When you accept, prepare, mark ready or complete an order in Live, the status is passed on to HubRise.
- Cancellation: an order cancelled in XPRIO is cancelled in HubRise. If the till cancels an order, XPRIO lets you know; you decide on the refund.
- Partial refund: it is made in XPRIO and entered on the till. The card shows you the amount.
- Stock-outs both ways: an item sold out on the till becomes unavailable in XPRIO, and a stock-out set in Live is passed on to the till.
Delivery platform orders
If your till already receives delivery platform orders through HubRise, XPRIO can show them alongside yours. In Settings, Delivery platform orders:
- Off (default): nothing changes.
- Show in Live: your till accepts and progresses these orders, and XPRIO shows them in Live and in the kitchen with their status, without changing anything. This is the right choice if your till already accepts these orders.
- Manage in XPRIO: you accept, prepare and mark these orders ready from Live, with an alert for each new order; each status goes back to the platform. In HubRise, set each platform connector so the order is confirmed at the “Accepted” status.
These orders stay separate: they are never sent back to the till, are not added to your XPRIO customers and have their own figures in the statistics. The Orders page shows them in a Delivery platforms tab.
Frequently asked questions
I can’t find my location during authorisation. You may be signed in to another HubRise account. Sign out of HubRise, then start again with your store’s account.
The matching screen is empty. No catalogue was chosen during authorisation. Click Disconnect, then reconnect HubRise and choose your till’s catalogue.
Orders arrive a few minutes late. Real-time updates could not be enabled. The card says so, and syncing then happens every 5 minutes. Contact support if the message stays on screen.
